E-Bike by Height

Is the Velotric Triker a good electric trike for seniors?

Its step-through height is 14.6 in (370 mm), it has a Beginner Mode that caps speed at 8 mph, and its total load limit is 500 lb. But it measured about 98 lb on one tester's scale and was sold out on Nov 4, 2026. It is the only trike from the three makers we cover, so this page is one trike, not a comparison.

What the testers said

Three numbers to ask any trike maker

  1. Step-through height (the height you lift your leg over). Lower is easier.
  2. Total load limit, and whether it includes you.
  3. Whether speed can be capped for the first rides.

This is shopping information, not medical advice. If balance or joint pain is the reason you are looking at a trike, talk to your doctor or a physical therapist about what suits you. Velotric says it cannot accept e-bike orders shipped to a New York City address.

Other brands' trikes are not covered here yet. Ride Review published a ten-trike roundup for seniors in August 2026, and Electric Bike Report has its own best-electric-tricycles guide. We will add other trikes only after their numbers are checked the same way.
